In 2002, Derek Rees founded Adera, a mobile shredding service based in South Florida that serves businesses in various industries, including healthcare, professional services and retail. Rees purchased his first Shred-Tech® truck after visiting the company’s headquarters in Cambridge, Ontario. As Adera’s customer base grew, the company purchased two more Shred-Tech® trucks, the MDS-25GTX and the MDS-35GTi.
The relationship Rees has developed with Shred-Tech® professionals is a critical reason he continues to invest in Shred-Tech® trucks. He has received a great deal of industry insight from Shred-Tech® employees and completely trusts their advice when it comes to servicing and purchasing additional trucks.
Rees remembers an instance when he had a gear box malfunction. This issue, which had the potential to affect Adera’s relationship with a key customer, was quickly and easily resolved by Shred-Tech® service representatives within less than a day. Rees simply picked up the phone, called Shred-Tech® and a new motor showed up on his doorstep by 9 a.m. the next morning.
